Southern Virginia
This region borders North Carolina and some wonderful bike tours meander throughout both Virginia and North Carolina. The Beaches to Bluegrass Trail from Virginia Beach to Cumberland Gap, which is under development, will cross this region along the US Route 58 corridor. As part of this long-distance state trail, the Tobacco Heritage Trail is now being completed. Danville’s Riverwalk Trail runs 8-miles along the Dan River through downtown and the surrounding countryside. Relaxed biking at its best!
