How Do I Reserve a Self-Guided Tour?
Listed Self-Guided Tours that stay in one place have a Tour Book available as a PDF on our website. Simply download it, make you own reservation directly with the accommodation you desire, and you’re ready to roll! You do not need any additional services from Virginia Odysseys.
If you want a Self-Guided Tour that moves from place to place, you will need to reserve through Virginia Odysseys. We will make the reservations for you, transfer your luggage on "moving" day, and send you a complete Tour Book for all the days of your tour.
How Do I Reserve a Guided Tour?
The Guided Tour schedule is published on the website. Simply select a tour and request a space on that tour using our on-line Reservation Form. Virginia Odysseys will confirm that space is available. Upon receiving the confirmation, send a check for the amount due to Virginia Odysseys, 109 Woodmere Dr, Williamsburg, VA 23185. You will receive a second confirmation once your check is received.
How do I create a Custom Tour?
Simply complete the on-line Custom Tour information form and submit it to Virginia Odysseys. We’ll contact you to begin planning the tour of your dreams. We will work with and mutually develop a Tour Proposal containing a detailed itinerary, accommodations, special activities, and the cost per person. Once our proposal is accepted and signed, you’ll send a deposit, and we’ll make all of the arrangements.
How big are the groups?
Our typical Guided Tour group size is 14-16 persons. Our maximum is 20 persons. We can arrange a special guided tour for a group of eight or more. Self-Guided Tours can range from a couple wanting a quiet, active get-away vacation to a business group, or family reunion, of 50 persons.
Can you help with travel arrangements?
We can give suggestions for arrival and departure airports and contact information for airport shuttle services. We are a tour operator, not a travel agency, so we cannot make travel arrangements for you. By special arrangement, we may be able to meet you at the airport and handle shuttle logistics for your group and bicycles.
Do I need travel insurance?
Virginia Odysseys highly recommends travel insurance in the event of a medical emergency, lost baggage, or if you need to cancel your trip. A travel insurance package is available through TravelGuard. The price of insurance is based on your trip cost and you can purchase the insurance on-line.
