Eastern Shore
No super highways, no sprawling metropolis, but simply miles of quiet backroads, small towns, and flat terrain define the Eastern Shore. It is in the middle of the "Atlantic flyway", so be prepared to identify migrating water fowl in the spring and fall. There is no fresher "catch of the day" anywhere than in the seaside villages. Varied agriculture, including a few vineyards, defines the Eastern Shore landscape through which you’ll bike. Flat country farm lanes, water always near, and a refreshing breeze – what’s not to like?
