Accommodations

Virginia Odyssey accommodation choices range from camping to state park cabins to historic hotels to luxurious country inns. Each is unique, but all are chosen for their comfort, friendliness, location, charm, and intimacy. Our goal is to offer a variety of lodging price points to suit your budget. Depending on where you choose to stay, the starting and ending point of your route for the day might change, but the itinerary will be the same.

The same Self-Guided tour may have a different price, depending on the level of accommodations included. The level of accommodations will be specified and you can visit the accommodation websites to decide which style of lodging suits you best. We can, of course, mix and match various levels of accommodation on multi—day tours. No matter which level you choose, you will find friendly innkeepers, a superior level of comfort, and a welcome "home away from home".

Deluxe

Lodgings in this category are 4-star and 5-star, and can be luxury resorts, grand country estates, or small country inns. They are consistently rated by their guests as “top-notch” in every regard – room comforts, cuisine, ambiance, and service. Expect to be pampered.

Standard

We don’t like to think of any of our accommodations as just “standard,” but accommodations at this level might be categorized as 3-star. They are casual, relaxed, unique, and come with an extra portion of Virginia hospitality.

Cabins

Some tours offer the choice of rustic cabins, many of which are within a Virginia State Park. These cabins come supplied with linens, a kitchen, and kitchen supplies.

Camping

Campgrounds vary from those within Virginia State Parks to well-kept secrets in regional parks to private facilities. All have quality campsites, bath houses, and recreational amenities.
